Join in with rest of the Italian community for these special celebrations of Good Friday with an outdoor procession along city streets late in the evening. An open event. A very popular annual celebration with a large participation by Italians from the Chicago area.
July 1

Bellwood 		Annual Valenzanesi Picnic
Mass at the Montalbano chapel, home of St. Rocco's statue. Outdoor picnic starting at about 1:00 pm. Serving grilled Bari-style sausage, other specilalties and sodas. Bring your own picnic basket as well. Free admission.
August 5

Norridge, IL		 St. Rocco Celebration
Mass in honor of St. Rocco followed by procession through side streets. It is an open event and everybody is welcome. The Sicilian Band will join in the festivities. At the conclusion of the celebrations, snacks of focaccia, pastries, nuts and refreshments will be served to all participants in the church's hall.
August 19

Des Plaines		 St. Rocco Dinner-Dance
A sparkling evening of dinner and dance on the occasion of St. Rocco's celebrations. Everybody's welcome to join in the festivities and have fun. Admission to the the gala-like event is typically around $40 for adults, including free bar, and $20 for children. Advanced reservation is requested.
