A Columbus day parade was held in Chicago on Monday, October 12, like every year; a parade that has changed over the years into a cultural and ethnical exhibition by the Italian community. Chicago is rich in national groups that use similar occassions to put out similar displays and celebrate their ethnical origin and culture.

The parade this year took place on a beautiful and sunny day of Autumn along Deaborn St. in the heart of the city and in the shadows of the skyscrapers. It started at 12:45 pm and lasted approximately three hours. The parade saw the participation of many politicians, because of the upcoming elections in early November. Columbus Day
